You could be limiting yourself without knowing it, simply because of the way your mindset has been programmed. The good news is that you can reprogram your mindset for success. You can remove limitations in your life by first removing any limitations, or strongholds, set up in your mind. It’s no wonder that the Bible tells us to renew our minds before we can really walk in God’s will for our lives.
Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will. – Romans 12:2 NIV
The more closely your thinking is aligned with God’s thinking and your spirit with His Spirit, then the more He can carry out His purpose in and through you.

Limitation of lack
A lack mentality leads to thoughts of not being good enough or not having enough. A lack mentality will cause you to settle for less than God’s best for you in life. If this sounds like you then the only thing you lack is knowledge.
The best way to deal with this kind of limiting mindset is to find out what God has given you by checking your manual for living – aka “the Bible”. Maybe it’s time to stop relying on what your own strength can do and start believing in what God has done and can do through you.
His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness. – 2 Peter 1:3 NIV
Limitation of identity
A poor identity mindset can definitely hold you back in life. God gets no glory from you thinking less of yourself than who He’s made you. Do you really know who you are in Christ? Have you gone past knowing who you are to actually being who you were created to be?
Instead of basing your identity on earthly limitations or other people’s shallow opinions, you need to find out who God says you are and walk in the light of it, so that you can live the good life He’s called you to live.
For we are His workmanship [His own master work, a work of art], created in Christ Jesus [reborn from above—spiritually transformed, renewed, ready to be used] for good works, which God prepared [for us] beforehand [taking paths which He set], so that we would walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us]. – Ephesians 2:10 AMP
