The Bible is a book like no other – full of wisdom, inspiration, motivation and lessons for living.  It touches on every area of human concern, either directly or indirectly, including the area of business.

Jesus often used parables that were set in a marketplace context, which are still very much relevant today.  The book of Proverbs gives us instructions on how to manage our finances and in the book of Ecclesiastes, Solomon gave us wisdom which can be used in business.

Here are 8 scriptures that will improve the way you do business if you apply them.

“Wealth from get-rich-quick schemes quickly disappears; wealth from hard work grows over time.” ~ Proverbs 13:11-13 NLT

“Do not wear yourself out to get rich; do not trust your own cleverness.” ~ Proverbs 23:4

The blessing of the Lord brings wealth, without painful toil for it.” ~ Proverbs 10:22

“If you wait for perfect conditions, you will never get anything done.” ~ Ecclesiastes 11:4

“..the children of this world are more shrewd in dealing with the world around them than are the children of the light.  Here’s the lesson: Use your worldly resources to benefit others and make friends.  Then, when your possessions are gone, they will welcome you to an eternal home.” ~ Luke 16:8-9 NLT

“Plant your seed in the morning and keep busy all afternoon, for you don’t know if profit will come from one activity or another—or maybe both.” ~ Ecclesiastes 11:6 NLT
